BendPak MD-6XP Portable Mid-Rise Frame Lift - 6,000-lbs. Capacity

Unusable!
Lift arms are too short and don’t reach dedicated jack points on my cars.
And, longer arms from the manufacturer are $2000!

Bought this to work on my BMW X3M40
Extension arms won't quite span the distance between the dedicated jack points on the car. Maybe there's some kind of extension or alternate lift points I can find. I've used it on a number of other vehicles and it's great. Very compact and heavy duty. Fits a Subaru forester nicely. Any suggestions?

I probably shouldn't have done it, but I wanted to see if it would lift, so I did. I probably will never do it again since my truck is too long, and it was a little scary. But it lifted it with no issues. I serviced it while it was lifted a couple of feet off the ground. I will sell this and get another Bendpak that is more correctly sized for my truck. I also serviced my 2002 Tundra from this lift and my mid-sized SUVs, my son's, and my DIL's car. It has already easily paid for itself. I taught my 9-year-old grandson how to place the pads, and he helps me. Love this lift.

This lift is my favorite and most used tool in my garage. It makes what used to be days long projects a much simpler and shorter morning project. Easy to use, simple enough to set up, and rock solid.

I was laying on the ground working on a car in my shop and iam not a spring chicken and finally decided to find on and bend pak is a local bussiness and I did some research and found this lift and love it for the vechiles I work on its perfect I do plan on getting a bigger version soon for bigger vechiles

This lift is HEFTY HEFTY HEFTY, not wimpy like the competitor lifts.
I picked up the lift at the YRC freight terminal, ordered on a Thursday and it was at the yard a week later.
My photo shows how to get the lift off the pallet easy.
I added a full face quick disconnect (one each of these)

1/4" NPT Set (M+F) full face quick disconnect
1/4" NPT to #6 ORB adapter
1/4" NPT to #4 JIC

Add a pair of rubber covers to protect the full face couplings.

I've had my mid height scissor lift for almost 20 years and I have performed many hours of basic maintenance along with dropping the engine & transaxle out of my B5 S4.

Using a car rollerskate on the roller end helps maneuver the lift into a storage position.

The only issue I've had is the seam lift points cut through the rubber pads after a few uses requiring the pads to be disgarded using the steel only which can bend the seam lift points.

I'd buy the same unit again.

The lift is measuring 5 3/4 inches high on my garage floor so if your car is less than that you'll need 1x12 to place around the lift . I didn't like the lowering handle feel for lowering just that fraction of an inch so I made my own handle with an adjustment screw against the hydraulic bleed button. I can drop the car at any speed now. As far as moving the lift around, using the pump cart to lift one end of the lift is pretty much worthless for me but the lift is easily moved across my smooth garage floor if extended to full height without an auto on it. It's paid for itself in saved labor. Oil changes, brake jobs and bleeds and suspension replacements.
